MANAGING PARTNERAdam S. Malamut was admitted to the New Jersey State Bar on December 13, 1999. Mr. Malamut was also admitted to the United States District Court, District of New Jersey on December 30, 1999.
Mr. Malamut has extensive experience in the area of Criminal Practice. As a privately retained criminal defense attorney, Mr. Malamut successfully defended matters in New Jersey Municipal, State and Federal Courts. Recent significant matters handled by Mr. Malamut include fraud, financial crimes, homicide, drug offenses, official misconduct by public employees, sexual offenses, organized crime and theft offenses, to name a few.
Mr. Malamut also has significant experience in Civil Practice. He has a proven track record of representing individuals and companies in matters involving insurance coverage disputes, personal injury, medical malpractice, work injuries, violations of patient’s rights (HIPPA), forfeiture proceedings, product liability, and matters before administrative boards.
In 2013, Mr. Malamut was appointed and presided over an employee disciplinary hearing as a special Hearing Officer in Fairfield Township, Cumberland County, New Jersey.
In 2015, Mr. Malamut was appointed as the Municipal Public Defender for the Township of Mount Holly, New Jersey.
In 2016, Mr. Malamut was appointed and continues to serve as the Municipal Prosecutor for Delran Township; Edgewater Park Township; Pemberton Township; Delanco; and, the joint municipal court of Westampton, Eastampton and Hainesport Townships. In 2017, Mr. Malamut was appointed Municipal Prosecutor of the Borough of Palmyra. In 2018, Mr. Malamut was appointed Municipal Prosecutor of Riverside Township; Mt. Holly Township; Deptford Township; and, the City of Millville. Currently, Mr. Malamut and lawyers from Malamut & Associates proudly continue to serve in this capacity in all of the above-mentioned communities.
In 2011, 2012, 2014, and 2015 SJ Magazine named Mr. Malamut a “Top Attorney” as a result of a poll taken of New Jersey lawyers. From 2011 -Present, Mr. Malamut also earned recognition as an “Awesome Attorney” by South Jersey Magazine. In 2012, Mr. Malamut was named as one of South Jersey Magazine’s Men of the Year for his accomplishments both in his profession and as a member of his community. In 2013, Mr. Malamut was honored by the Executive Leaders Radio with the CEO Philanthropy Award.
In 2015, Mr. Malamut received the prestigious Civil Rights Award from the Willingboro and Vicinity Chapter of the NAACP.
From 2013 – Present, Mr. Malamut was selected to be included as a member of The National Trial Lawyers: Top 100, an invitation-only organization composed of the premier trial lawyers from each state in the nation who meet stringent qualifications as civil plaintiff and/or criminal defense trial lawyers. Selection is based on a thorough multi-phase process, which includes peer nominations combined with third-party research. Membership is extended solely to the select few of the most qualified attorneys from each state that demonstrates superior qualifications of leadership, reputation, influence, stature and public profile. Mr. Malamut continues to maintain his membership to this prestigious organization.
In 2016, Mr. Malamut was honored to become a Lifetime Member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, an organization composed of lawyers who have successfully obtained individual verdicts/settlements in excess of $1 million on behalf of their clients.
Mr. Malamut is admitted to practice law before the Supreme Court of New Jersey, the United States District of New Jersey, and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Malamut is a member of the American, New Jersey, Burlington County and Camden County Bar Associations, as well as the New Jersey Association for Justice (NJAJ). He is also a proud contributing member to the NJAJ PAC.
In addition to his work as an Attorney, Mr. Malamut served, from 2007 – 2012, as President of the Board of Trustees of the Boys & Girls Club of Camden County – an organization that provides services to more than 4,000 at-risk youth in the Delaware Valley.
